SHE ASKED FOR HELP USING SIGN LANGUAGE
The incident occurred around 18:00 in the evening in the Battalgazi neighborhood of the Altındağ district. A woman walking on the street suddenly began having difficulty breathing when a foreign object lodged in her windpipe. Panicking, the woman looked around for help and came to the front of a hairdressing salon on the street, asking an employee inside for help using sign language.
SAVED WITH THE HEIMLICH MANEUVER
The hairdresser employee realized the woman was choking and unable to breathe and intervened without wasting time. Applying the Heimlich maneuver calmly, the employee removed the object lodged in the woman's windpipe, preventing a potential disaster.
