AFAD announced that a magnitude 4 earthquake occurred in Malatya. Kandilli Observatory, however, reported the earthquake's magnitude as 3.9.

According to the information on the website of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), an earthquake with a magnitude of 4 occurred, with its epicenter in the Battalgazi district of Malatya. The tremor at 16:22 was recorded at a depth of 9.13 kilometers.

The Kandilli Observatory recorded the earthquake's magnitude as 3.9. The depth was reported as 8.6 kilometers.
