Adrion noted that when he asks this question in different countries, audiences usually hum only a short part of their anthem or sing a few notes. However, when the entire Turkish audience suddenly stood up and began singing the İstiklal Marşı together, it left the comedian astonished.

Adrion said that an idea came to his mind while the Turkish audience was singing the anthem, and he made his joke about Greece. The famous comedian said, “While you were singing, an idea came to me: We should conquer Greece!” making the audience laugh.
Also comparing it to the German national anthem, Adrion said, “I wish we Germans could have such a powerful anthem. Ours now sounds like, 'We're sorry, we're recycling' or something.”
