U.S. President Donald Trump met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House. They reached agreements in many areas, from F-35 sales to nuclear cooperation. Salman stated that they would increase investments in the U.S. to $1 trillion. Trump said, "I am announcing this for the first time here. We are officially designating Saudi Arabia as a Major Non-NATO Ally."

The two countries reached agreements in many areas, from F-35 sales to nuclear cooperation. Trump announced that they signed a Strategic Defense Agreement with Riyadh. Thus, the US officially declared Saudi Arabia as a "major non-NATO ally."
According to a statement made at the White House, Trump approved the sale of F-35s. This will be the first F-35 sale by the US to a Middle Eastern country outside of Israel. Additionally, it was reported that Saudi Arabia will purchase approximately 300 American tanks.
Furthermore, an agreement was made in the field of "civil nuclear energy cooperation." While this means that American nuclear technology doors will be opened to Saudi Arabia, the statement also conveyed a message that "this technology should not turn into nuclear weapons." It was noted that "cooperation will be conducted according to non-proliferation standards."
The two countries will also advance cooperation in critical minerals and artificial intelligence. The Saudi Crown Prince announced that they will raise investments in the US from $600 billion to approximately $1 trillion.
TRUMP: THIS IS A GREAT THING Before the meeting, the two leaders held a press conference. US President Trump stated, "Saudi Arabia will invest $600 billion in the US. This number may increase."
Highlighting that the agreement they signed will create many investment opportunities in various fields such as technology, artificial intelligence, materials, magnets, and more, Crown Prince bin Salman said, "(The investment Saudi Arabia will make in the US) I think we will announce that we will raise this figure from $600 billion to nearly $1 trillion." In response, Trump remarked, "We are very pleased. This is a great thing."
Selman expressed that he believes the relations between the two countries will deepen in many areas that will contribute to the economies of both countries in the coming decades.
Stating that many opportunities will arise for Saudi Arabia with the signed agreement with the US, Crown Prince bin Salman indicated that they will spend approximately $50 billion in the semiconductor field, and in the long term, this amount could reach hundreds of billions of dollars.
F-35 SALES ALSO ON THE AGENDA The US President stated that they are ready to sell F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia and that these jets are expected to be at the same level as the F-35s owned by Israel.
Trump, stating that both Israel and Saudi Arabia are "major allies of the US," turned to Mohammed bin Salman and said, "I know they (Israel) want you to buy lower caliber planes. However, I don't think that will make you very happy. In my opinion, both should be at a level where they have top-level equipment (F-35 jets)."
In response to the question, "Israel wants the sale of F-35s to Saudi Arabia to be linked to the 'normalization' process, what do you think about this?" Trump replied, "Israel is aware of this situation. Israel will be very happy about this."
ABRAHAM ACCORDS: EMPHASIS ON TWO-STATE SOLUTION US President Trump emphasized that they will also discuss the "Abraham Accords," which aim to normalize relations between Israel and Arab countries, in their meeting with the Crown Prince, but he avoided using clear expressions regarding Riyadh's participation in the agreement.
Trump stated, "I don't want to use the word 'commitment,' but we had a very good discussion about the Abraham Accords. We talked about many issues, such as a two-state solution (regarding Palestine). We will discuss this issue in more detail shortly. However, I think you have a very positive attitude towards the Abraham Accords."
Crown Prince Selman stated regarding the Abraham Accords, "We want to be part of the agreement, but we also want to ensure that we have a clear path to a two-state solution."
RECONSTRUCTION OF GAZA In response to a question, the US President emphasized that he believes the Riyadh administration will contribute significantly to the reconstruction of Gaza, stating, "We are discussing this issue. This is a very important topic for him (Mohammed bin Salman)."
In response to the question about how and when the International Stability Force will begin its mission in Gaza and whether this will violate the sovereignty of the Palestinians, Trump gave a brief answer, saying, "We have a good understanding with the Palestinians, and we recognize the Palestinian administration."
Regarding Gaza, Crown Prince bin Salman stated, "We want (Israelis and Palestinians) to live together in peace in the region. We will do our best to achieve this goal."
The Crown Prince noted that they are working closely to reach an agreement regarding discussions between the US and Iran and that they will wait and see what will happen in this regard.
Regarding the September 11 attacks, Crown Prince bin Salman stated, "According to documents from the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and other documents, Osama bin Laden used Saudi Arabians and that incident to destroy US-Saudi relations. Anyone who believes this means they are helping Osama bin Laden."
"RESULTS IN SYRIA ARE VERY GOOD" US President Trump pointed out that Turkey and Saudi Arabia played a very important role in lifting the sanctions imposed on Syria, emphasizing the leaders of the two countries.
Stating that Syria has made tremendous progress, Trump said, "We lifted the sanctions at the request of the Crown Prince, and also Turkish President Erdoğan called me specifically and said, 'You know, if you don't lift the sanctions, Syria has no chance. If you lift them, it will have a very good chance.' With the support of both of them and some others, I lifted the sanctions, and so far the results have been quite good."
"HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE KHASHOGGI MURDER" Donald Trump responded to a question from a Washington Post reporter regarding the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in 2018, saying, "Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman knew nothing about this."
Salman stated regarding the murder that the killing of Jamal Khashoggi was a "big mistake." Prince Salman emphasized that this situation was "painful," stating, "We have taken all necessary investigative steps in Saudi Arabia, and we have improved our system to prevent such an incident from happening again. WHITE HOUSE REVEALS DETAILS OF THE AGREEMENT The White House announced details of the economic and defense partnership between the USA and Saudi Arabia. The statement noted that a joint declaration was signed regarding the completion of negotiations for civilian nuclear energy cooperation between the USA and Saudi Arabia.
The announcement stated that this provides the legal basis for a multi-billion dollar nuclear energy partnership that will last for years, confirming that the USA and American companies will be partners in Saudi Arabia's civilian nuclear cooperation.
The statement also mentioned that the USA and Saudi Arabia signed a framework agreement that deepens cooperation on critical minerals and aligns their national strategies to diversify critical mineral supply chains.
It was noted that the two countries also signed an Artificial Intelligence Memorandum of Understanding, which would protect American technology from foreign influence while allowing Saudi Arabia access to American systems.
TRUMP APPROVED DEFENSE SALES PACKAGE INCLUDING F-35 DELIVERIES The announcement stated that Trump and Mohammed bin Salman signed the US-Saudi Arabia Strategic Defense Agreement, and that Trump approved a large defense sales package that includes future F-35 deliveries and secured an agreement for Saudi Arabia to purchase approximately 300 American tanks.

DINNER AT THE WHITE HOUSE IN HONOR OF SALMAN AFTER THE MEETING President Trump highlighted that the relations between the two countries were strengthened by this visit during a dinner he hosted at the White House in honor of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. In his speech, Trump thanked famous football player Cristiano Ronaldo, who still plays in Saudi Arabia, for attending the dinner while mentioning some important figures present.
TRUMP: I AM REVEALING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME. President Trump thanked Mohammed bin Salman for the $1 trillion investment pledge that Saudi Arabia announced it would make to the USA. Emphasizing the cooperation agreements signed in defense and military fields between the two countries, Trump stated, "I am announcing this here for the first time. Trump noted that Saudi Arabia would purchase approximately $140 billion worth of weapons, ammunition, and defense services from the USA, which means new employment for thousands of Americans, expressing his happiness about this investment promise.
