After MHP leader Bahçeli's statement, "I will take three of my friends with me, and I do not hesitate to go to İmralı with our own means," attention turned to the commission in the Parliament. AK Party member Şamil Tayyar stated that President Erdoğan and MHP leader Bahçeli have reached an agreement regarding the discussions about the İmralı visit of the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, and that the process will become clear soon.

The statement made by MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli during his party's group meeting, "I can take three friends with me, I have no hesitation or reluctance to go to Imralı with our own means, nor do I shy away from meeting face to face around a table," is the number one agenda in politics.

No decision has yet been made regarding whether the members of the commission established in the Imralı Process will meet with the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Öcalan.

"CONSENSUS WAS REACHED IN THE LAST MEETING"

AK Party member Şamil Tayyar stated on his social media account regarding the issue, "I do not think there is a disagreement between our President and Devlet Bey regarding the Imralı visit. I believe consensus was reached on this matter in their last meetings. It is likely that the commission will make this decision as soon as possible and this visit will take place soon. It was expected that state officials, especially MIT President Kalın, would convey the latest information from the field to the commission. Today, that process is being completed. It may be true or false, it can be debated, but this issue will not lead to a political crisis." he said.

"IMRALı WILL BE VISITED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE"

MHP Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız stated that a vote will be held on the issue in the Terror-Free Turkey Commission on Friday, saying, "Then, we will go to Imralı as soon as possible." Yıldız also stated, "This Friday, the commission will meet at 2 PM with the agenda of going to Imralı."

WHAT DID BAHÇELİ SAY?

The statements made by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli during his party's group meeting made headlines. Bahçeli, who said that the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission, which will hold its 17th meeting today, is now in the final stretch, stated, "It is our common opinion and decision that the legal, legal, and democratic framework that needs to be prepared should be surrounded by the sensitivity of the nation-state and sovereign rights and should be the roadmap for the upcoming process. It is also possible to establish and determine the delegation that will go to Imralı from now on. A conclusion should be reached regarding the ongoing discussions about whether to go to Imralı or not." he said.

Bahçeli also expressed that he could go to Imralı with the following words: "If the goal of a Terror-Free Turkey is to find life and ground in honest and sincere measures, there will be no meaning in dragging our feet about going to Imralı. If direct contact is not established with one of the main interlocutors of the process, how will results be obtained, how will progress be made? If the commission established in the Parliament cannot make a decision in this context, if no one is willing to undertake this visit, if everyone insists on playing the three monkeys, I openly say; I can take three friends with me, I have no hesitation or reluctance to go to Imralı with our own means, nor do I shy away from meeting face to face around a table. I will not blink in the dark, I will not weave a web of deceit, I will say whatever I have to say boldly, looking directly into the eyes of my interlocutor."

SUPPORT FOR BAHÇELİ FROM DEM PARTY

DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan responded to MHP leader Bahçeli's statement, "If necessary, I will go to Imralı." Bakırhan said, "It is extremely important and commendable. Saying that if the commission does not go, I will go shows the courage to take a historic responsibility. The Parliamentary Commission must make its decision and go to Imralı without losing a single day." he said.
