Russian President Vladimir Putin made statements regarding the attempts of some Western countries to send troops to Ukraine, saying, "Any soldiers deployed to Ukraine will become a legitimate target. If there is a peace agreement, there is no point in deploying troops to Ukraine." Speaking about the negotiation talks, Putin added, "We are ready for a summit with Ukraine; please come to Russia, the best place for this is Moscow."
