The foot-and-mouth disease, which has been affecting Ardahan for a long time and has led to the death of thousands of animals, has slowly begun to lose its impact. However, due to the losses and economic damage experienced in the region, the grievances continue.

CALL FROM DEPUTY İNCESU TO MINISTER YUMAKLI

CHP Ardahan Deputy Özgür Erdem İncesu, who has been bringing the issues of the local people to the agenda since the very beginning of the process, called on the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, backed by a herd of animals. In his statement, Deputy İncesu said, "The foot-and-mouth disease in Ardahan is coming to an end. It has started to conclude. However, the damages continue. Our farmers and workers are in a very difficult situation. Animal markets have been opened in 24 provinces. Vaccination in Ardahan must be completed immediately, and animal markets should be opened within a week. The losses of these people must be compensated. Loans should be postponed, and long-term credit should be provided."

"IF LIVESTOCK DIES HERE..."

Emphasizing that agriculture and livestock are the most important sources of livelihood in Ardahan, İncesu stated, "If agriculture and livestock die here, Turkey will suffer. Mr. Minister, take these precautions. Open the animal market and compensate for the losses of these people."
