The entire ownership of Sanipak, the owner of the Selpak and Solo brands, is being sold to a Malaysia-based company. The value of the major sale has been announced as 600 million dollars.
Eczacıbaşı Holding has reached an agreement with Malaysia-based Arch Peninsula Sdn Bhd for the complete sale of Sanipak, the owner of leading cleaning paper brands Selpak and Solo in Turkey. The company announced the details of the sales process to the public through a press release.
SANIPAK IS BEING TRANSFERRED TO A GLOBAL GIANT
The statement emphasized that Sanipak will be transferred to one of the world's largest cellulose and paper producers. It was noted that the sale process will be completed after certain financial arrangements.
SALE PRICE WILL BE CLARIFIED AT CLOSING
According to the agreement, the sale price will be calculated based on a company value of 600 million dollars. The final amount will be determined at the closing of the transaction after adjustments for financial debt, cash, and working capital.
PRODUCTION STORY SPANNING FROM 1970 TO PRESENT
Eczacıbaşı started Turkey's first cleaning paper production in 1970 at the İpek Kağıt facilities established in Karamürsel. While the Selpak brand gradually became a symbol of the industry, the brands Solo, Silen, and Servis also became part of the company.
