In the Mendhar Poonch region of India, a mother who denied that her husband was the father of her newborn twins killed the babies. The father, who worked in Saudi Arabia and had been away for a long time, returned home three months ago and claimed that the children were born as a result of an 'illicit relationship' shortly after his wife gave birth to twins. The police stated that the mother killed the babies and their bodies were found in the bathroom. A detailed investigation has been launched into the incident.
After her husband denied being the father of their newborn twins, a mother in Mendhar Poonch region of India slit the throats of her twins.
Confirming that the mother confessed to the crime, it was reported by NDTV that the father, who works in Saudi Arabia, returned home three months ago after working abroad for a long time.
FATHER CLAIMED THE CHILDREN WERE NOT HIS
Shortly after her husband returned home, the wife gave birth to twins. Upon this, the man claimed that the children were born as a result of an "illicit relationship" and reported it to the police.
The police stated that the woman, fearing trouble, took her newborn babies to a nearby field and killed them. The police called to the scene found the bodies of the babies in the bathroom of the house in Chajjla Khani area of Mankote village. The bodies were taken to Mendhar Sub-District Hospital for autopsy.
MOTHER CONFESSED TO THE MURDER
The police arrested the father and the 26-year-old mother, suspecting the father's involvement in the horrific murders, to interrogate them. However, the mother confessed to the crime during the interrogation.
Yogul Manhas, Senior Police Officer of Poonch, said in a statement to NDTV, "The mother who killed her twin baby girls. She confessed to the crime." The police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
