"I SAW THE WALLS COLLAPSE, AND THE IRONS AND BARS WERE THROWN OUTSIDE"
Nurettin Ekeman, a resident of the opposite apartment of the building where the explosion occurred, described the incident: "I was preparing to enter the bathroom when I heard a 'Boom' sound. Then I heard the sound of debris. When I looked outside the window to understand what was happening, I saw that there was an explosion, the walls of the opposite apartment had collapsed, and the railing irons and bars were thrown outside. After that, I intervened at the scene with a few friends using fire extinguishers. There was a friend of mine whom I knew as the homeowner inside; at the moment of the incident, he shouted, 'Is anyone there?' We saw that friend, and he was the only one in the house. His hair was slightly burned, but thankfully he was safe. After that, we handed him over to the ambulance, and then the ambulance and police arrived at the scene."
