In a mosque in Kağıthane, Istanbul, a dispute arose between two brothers after the funeral prayer of their mother, Nuriye Mutlu, regarding the inheritance distribution. The argument quickly escalated into a fight, during which the elder brother, Mustafa Mutlu, shot and killed his brother, Mehmet Mutlu, in the head and abdomen.
A chilling incident occurred in Istanbul. The event took place around 4:30 PM in a mosque located in the Nurtepe neighborhood of Kağıthane. According to allegations, brothers Mustafa and Mehmet Mutlu, who had a dispute over inheritance, attended the funeral prayer of their deceased mother, Nuriye Mutlu.
HE KILLED HIS BROTHER AT HIS MOTHER'S FUNERAL
After the second prayer, a discussion broke out between the two brothers following the funeral prayer. The argument quickly escalated into a fight, during which Mustafa Mutlu drew his weapon and shot his brother Mehmet Mutlu in the head and abdomen.
IT WAS LEARNED THAT THE SUSPECT HAD 10 CRIMINAL RECORDS
Upon the notification of the surrounding people, emergency medical and police teams arrived at the scene. During the health team's checks, it was determined that Mehmet Mutlu, who was seriously injured in the incident, was taken by ambulance to Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşçıoğlu City Hospital. Despite all the interventions made at the hospital, Mutlu could not be saved.
On the other hand, the suspect Mustafa Mutlu was detained at the scene by the Kağıthane Public Order Bureau teams. It was learned that Mustafa Mutlu, whose unlicensed firearm used in the incident was seized, had 10 criminal records, including intentional injury, with the police teams.
