In Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, on April 20, the birthday of Adolf Hitler, three Nazi flags featuring a swastika were hung by unidentified individuals. An investigation has been launched into the incident as a hate crime.
It has been reported that on the highway entrance in the Essingeleden area of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, three Nazi flags with a swastika were hung by unidentified individuals on April 20, the birthday of Adolf Hitler.
Stockholm Police Department Spokesperson Mats Eriksson stated in a press release that they have received numerous reports from the public regarding the incident and that they have launched an investigation into the hate crime related to the matter.
Eriksson emphasized that it is not pleasant for such things to happen in Sweden, noting that they often encounter banners with political messages on the cliffs at the highway entrance.
"Especially activists share political messages here because traffic is heavy. It is not nice at all for this sharing to occur." Eriksson stated that the Nazi flag was most likely hung in commemoration of the dictator Adolf Hitler's birthday, who was born on April 20.
