The countdown has begun for the partnership agreement to be made between the Spanish company and Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ) for Turkey's first national jet training and light attack aircraft, HÜRJET. The agreement will be signed tomorrow.

Turkey's first national jet training and light attack aircraft HÜRJET, developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ), had its first agreement signed in May that will open the doors to NATO and other countries around the world. Under the agreement signed between TUSAŞ, Airbus, and the Spanish Ministry of Defense, it is anticipated that the sale of HÜRJET to Spain will be facilitated and that the joint infrastructure production of this aircraft will take place in Spain.

AN IMPORTANT MILESTONE

Speaking in Madrid regarding the agreement, TUSAŞ General Manager Mehmet Demiroğlu stated, "This agreement represents an important milestone in the steps we plan to take in the HÜRJET project. With this agreement, we are determining what kind of cooperation will be made in the industrial field, which companies will provide what types of products in the configuration of HÜRJET produced for Spain, and we are taking the first step in the process of starting to work with them."

HIGH POTENTIAL

Emphasizing that it is a very high-potential and significant agreement, Demiroğlu said, "Until now, we have done the installation of HÜRJET in Turkey, but now we will do it in Spain. This is a very important agreement for us with very high potential. Because at the point we achieve this, many other doors will also open. Not just for NATO. We believe that this platform will also be a platform that other countries around the world can use for both training and light attack purposes. It will fill a significant gap. We are very hopeful, proud, and will continue our efforts."
