On the flight back from Hungary, President Erdoğan answered questions from journalists and announced the good news of a new support package. Erdoğan stated, "I have also made the necessary warnings to the relevant colleagues regarding this matter. We are currently in the preparation phase for this. We are obliged to take this step."
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who attended the unofficial summit of the Turkic States Organization, made important statements to journalists regarding the agenda upon his return from his visit to Hungary. President Erdoğan announced that a new step would be taken to support the real sector.
"I HAVE MADE THE NECESSARY WARNINGS"
Emphasizing that the results of economic policies have started to yield results, Erdoğan stated, "God willing, we will take a much different step in the new period. I have also made the necessary warnings to our relevant friends regarding this issue. We are currently in preparation for this. We are obliged to take this step," he said.
"TURKEY'S NATIONAL INCOME HAS REACHED A STRONG POSITION"
Pointing out the improvement in the economy, Erdoğan highlighted that there has been a significant increase in Turkey's national income, saying, "Now, thank God, Turkey's national income has reached a strong position. What were the figures when we came to office, and where are the figures now? If you look at exports, thank God, we have reached levels of 265-270 billion dollars. On the other hand, our per capita national income has started to peak compared to those years. Our reserves have also started to rise. Currently, our treasury is strong in terms of foreign exchange reserves," he stated.
A NEW SUPPORT PACKAGE IS COMING
Recalling the importance of the supports provided through the Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF) in the past, President Erdoğan said, "I also value the Credit Guarantee Fund. In this regard, it is beneficial to take a step and pour water into the pump from the Credit Guarantee Fund to get it moving. God willing, we will take a much different step in the new period. I have also made the necessary warnings to our relevant friends regarding this issue. We are currently in preparation for this. We are obliged to take this step," he said.
DECREASE IN INFLATION AND INCREASE IN CONFIDENCE
Stating that there has been a noticeable decrease in inflation, Erdoğan said, "We are implementing our economic program with determination. This is a process and it continues. The positive results of the prescription we applied in the economy are an indication that we are on the right track. The decrease in inflation increases predictability. We have seen the lowest level in the last 40 months." he stated.
EMPHASIS ON PRICE AND FINANCIAL STABILITY
Erdoğan noted that in economic management, both price stability and the dynamics of financial stability and growth are taken into account, emphasizing that a determined stance will continue to maintain this positive picture.
