A new era in education! Turkey's first vocational middle schools are opening.

According to information obtained from the Ministry, the Ministry of National Education kept the doors of vocational high schools open for middle school students for the first time during this summer vacation with the "Skill Development Program" aimed at vocational education, which is called "craft workshops".

The "craft workshops", which middle school students attend for free in vocational high schools starting from 7th grade, started with the training programs within the scope of the 129 module course in 271 schools in 18 provinces.

TO START IN 4 PROVINCES IN THE FIRST STAGE

In order to contribute to this process, "vocational middle schools" within vocational and technical Anatolian high schools, where middle school students will be admitted for the first time in Turkey, will be opened in Bursa, Sivas, Konya, and Burdur. With the "vocational middle schools" application, it is aimed to raise awareness of middle school students about vocational education, and for students and parents to access more accurate information about professions in the process of planning post-middle school education.

STUDENTS WILL PROGRESS ACCORDING TO THEIR TALENTS

It is aimed to discover the skills and talents of the students who will receive education in these middle schools at an earlier age and to plan the appropriate education process according to their talents. The "vocational middle schools" that will start providing education in Bursa, Sivas, Konya, and Burdur are as follows:

• Sivas Bilişim Teknolojileri Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Middle School within Sivas Bilişim Teknolojileri Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Sivas
• Gazi Kız Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Middle School within Gazi Kız Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Konya
• Emekevler Şehit Rıza Çevik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Middle School within Emekevler Şehit Rıza Çevik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Burdur.
