In the statement made by the Ministry of Transportation, it was stated that old type driving licenses will be invalid after this date. Citizens are required to apply to the population directorates and complete the necessary procedures.
PERIOD EXTENDED BY 2 YEARS
Previously, the period was extended by 2 years starting from December 31, 2022 due to the pandemic. However, there is no extension expected this time.

- Renewal fee for old type driver's license: 15 TL
- Renewal fee for new type driver's license: 769 TL

- The following documents are required when applying for driving license renewal:
- Identity document (ID card, new identity card or passport)
- Old driver's license
- Newly obtained driver's health report
- 2 biometric photos
- Valuable paper and fee receipt
- Document or written statement indicating blood type
- Criminal record certificate (checked from the system)
