The Ministry of Health has also activated the Remote Patient Assessment System (RPAS) in Healthy Life Centers. With the new application, citizens will be able to benefit free of charge from psychological support, smoking cessation outpatient clinics, and social support services via video interviews by booking appointments through MHRS. The system aims to facilitate access to preventive health services, especially for the elderly, disabled individuals, and citizens who have difficulty reaching health centers.
The Ministry of Health has implemented the Remote Patient Assessment System (RPAS) in Healthy Life Centers to make preventive health services more accessible. With the new application, citizens can benefit from psychological support, smoking cessation clinics, and social support services through video calls from wherever they are.
SERVICE HAS BEGUN IN 81 PROVINCES
Within the scope of the system implemented by the Ministry of Health, appointment schedules were created as of July 5 for psychologists and social workers working in Healthy Life Centers in 81 provinces. The system has become actively used in provinces that have completed their preparations.
Citizens can directly create appointments from active branches through the Central Physician Appointment System (CPAS).
SERVICES CAN BE RECEIVED VIA VIDEO CALL
Thanks to the new system, citizens can have video calls with physicians and health professionals without going to a health center.
Within the scope of RPAS, psychological support, smoking cessation clinic, and social support services are provided remotely, aiming to make appointment processes faster and more accessible.
FREE SERVICE AT 351 HEALTHY LIFE CENTERS
Free services are provided in 17 different units at 351 Healthy Life Centers operating throughout Turkey. These centers offer preventive health services in many areas, including psychosocial support, nutritional counseling, physical activity programs, and combating addiction.
"WE BRING PREVENTIVE HEALTH SERVICES TO THE CITIZENS' DOORSTEP"
Dr. Zeynep Aydemir Güven, working at the Ministry of Health Sincan 100th Year Healthy Life Center, stated that the Remote Patient Assessment System facilitates citizens' access to health services.
Güven, who noted that citizens can reach health professionals from home, work, or while traveling, said that counseling processes, especially in smoking cessation clinics requiring regular follow-up, can be maintained without interruption.
Güven emphasized that the system offers a significant opportunity for the elderly, disabled individuals, people in need of care, and citizens living in rural areas, and reminded that all services provided at Healthy Life Centers are free.
APPOINTMENTS CAN BE MADE VIA CPAS
Dr. Güven stated that citizens create appointments from active branches through CPAS and then can join the video call by clicking the link in the short message sent to their mobile phones.
Güven, who drew attention to the great importance of preventive health services not only for treating diseases but also for preventing them, said, "Combating addictions such as tobacco use and healthy life counseling are at the heart of preventive medicine. With this application, we are bringing preventive health services to our citizens' doorstep."
Güven advised citizens not to postpone their health problems, to attend their appointments on time, to prepare their questions before the call, and to conduct their calls in a quiet environment.
"I AM DETERMINED TO QUIT SMOKING"
Erdi Güzel, 37, who received services from the smoking cessation clinic through the Remote Patient Assessment System, said he could not find the opportunity to go to the center due to his intense work schedule.
Güzel, who learned about the system through a friend's recommendation, stated that he could easily make an appointment for his desired day and time through CPAS and said, "We discussed all the details with our teacher. I am determined to quit smoking by making my subsequent appointments through this system as well."
