In Corum, 46-year-old Umit Yilmaz was found on the road with a gunshot wound to the head. Health teams arriving at the scene upon reports from nearby people determined that Yilmaz had lost his life. While the body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy, police launched an investigation to determine how the incident occurred.
After a person found motionless on the road in Çorum was determined to have lost his life, police teams launched an extensive investigation. In the incident that occurred in Çepni Neighborhood, the person who died was identified as Ümit Yılmaz (46).
FOUND MOTIONLESS ON THE ROAD
The incident occurred yesterday evening on 35th Street of the Science High School in Çepni Neighborhood. Those nearby who noticed a person lying motionless on the road reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Following the report, police and health teams were directed to the address. Upon arriving at the scene, the teams worked to identify the person found motionless on the ground.
DETERMINED TO HAVE BEEN SHOT IN THE HEAD
In the initial examination by police teams, it was determined that the person on the ground was 46-year-old Ümit Yılmaz. It was established that Yılmaz had been shot in the head with a pistol.
In the check carried out by health teams at the scene, it was determined that Yılmaz had lost his life. Following this, police teams conducted an investigation in the area.
BODY TAKEN TO HOSPITAL MORGUE
After the work at the scene, Ümit Yılmaz's body was taken to the morgue of Hitit University Erol Olçok Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
It is expected that investigations into Yılmaz's death will continue after the autopsy is performed.
