The suspect, Hakan Kocaman, who shot and killed Selim Okumuş and Ömer Bayazıt in the cargo unit of the PTT Directorate in Mermerdelen Neighborhood last night and fled the scene, was caught on the roof of a building where he was hiding by police teams.

ARRESTED

The suspect was transferred to the Rize Courthouse under heavy security measures. Kocaman was arrested by the court for the crimes of "killing a public official on duty" and "using an unlicensed firearm" and was sent to the Rize L-Type Closed Penitentiary Institution.
