In the Islahiye district of Gaziantep, an argument over throwing stones onto the road turned into armed terror. A person who fired a shotgun at their neighbors took their own life with the same weapon.
In the Islahiye district of Gaziantep, 35-year-old Adem G., who had psychological problems, argued with Ramazan Y. and his son Serhat Y. over the issue of throwing stones on the road. After the argument, Adem G. went home, got a pump-action shotgun, and opened fire on the father and son. While the wounded father and son were taken to the hospital, Adem G. committed suicide with the same gun.
HAS PSYCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMS
The incident occurred in the rural Aşağı Bilenler neighborhood of the Islahiye district. According to the information obtained, Adem G., who was known to have psychological problems, started arguing with his neighbors Ramazan Y. and his son Serhat Y., who had warned him for throwing stones on the road.
Unable to contain his anger after the verbal argument, Adem G. went home and returned with a pump-action shotgun he had taken. The man fired repeatedly at the father and son who had warned him. Ramazan Y. and his son Serhat Y., hit by the pellets, collapsed to the ground covered in blood.
SPREAD TERROR AND COMMITTED SUICIDE
After the incident, Adem G. returned home again and ended his life by shooting himself with the same pump-action shotgun. Upon the notification, numerous gendarmerie and health teams were dispatched to the address.
Health teams took the wounded father and son to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention. It was learned that one of the injured was in serious condition. After the gendarmerie teams, who took extensive security measures in the area, completed their investigations, Adem G.'s body was taken to the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy. The investigation launched into the incident is ongoing.
