A passenger plane carrying 62 people crashed in Vinhedo city in Brazil. It is reported that all the people on board died, and a widespread fire broke out in the area following the accident.

The plane carrying 62 people, including the crew, crashed in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Brazilian airline Voepass confirmed the accident and stated that the plane crashed in the town of Vinhedo after taking off from Cascavel in the state of Parana to go to São Paulo's main international airport.

The plane, carrying 58 passengers and 4 crew members, crashed near a residential building, but no one in the building was injured.

Brazil's GloboNews television broadcast images showing a fire in a wide area after the plane crashed. Brazilian officials are expected to make a statement about the accident.

Meanwhile, speaking at an event, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva requested a minute of silence for those who lost their lives in the crash.
