HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities. EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGESAfter the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) filed a complaint against EPGIS, the only union that announces changes in prices, the union stated that it would not share fuel price changes with the public until the legal process is concluded.
