In Adana, retired police officer Faruk Kayhan argued with his son Ahmet Kaan Kayhan, who allegedly demanded money. MONEY ARGUMENT ENDS IN BLOOD
The incident occurred on Elif Su Uludag Street in Gultepe Neighborhood, Saricam district. According to allegations, Ahmet Kaan Kayhan asked for money from retired police officer Faruk Kayhan, and upon receiving a negative response, began arguing with his father.
It was claimed that Ahmet Kaan Kayhan, allegedly a drug addict, attacked his father with a knife during the argument. Faruk Kayhan then drew his pistol and shot his son.
Ahmet Kaan Kayhan, shot in various parts of his body, collapsed in a pool of blood at the scene, while it was learned that father Kayhan called the police and reported himself.

Following the report, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical teams determined that Ahmet Kaan Kayhan had lost his life.
Faruk Kayhan surrendered his weapon to the police teams arriving at the scene and was taken into custody. The suspect father was taken to the Homicide Bureau for questioning. The incident was recorded by nearby citizens on their mobile phone cameras.
HAD BEEN MISSED IN FOREST FIRE
Meanwhile, it was learned that the deceased Ahmet Kaan Kayhan was a forest worker. It was reported that Kayhan went missing on August 10, 2025, while responding to a forest fire in Kozan district, and was later found by search teams. The investigation into the incident continues.
