On the Karabük-Bartın road, a tow truck loaded with construction equipment went out of control and crossed into the opposite lane. The truck, advancing about 500 meters, crushed a motorcycle, while the construction equipment it was carrying veered off and hit a house and a parked car. As a result of the horrific accident, 2 people lost their lives.
The truck, carrying a work machine and driven by Fuat Tamaç (50), was traveling on the Karabük-Bartın highway when, at the Kirkille location, its brakes failed, causing the driver to lose control and cross into the opposite lane.
FIRST HIT A PARKED CAR AND A HOUSE, THEN A MOTORCYCLE
The work machine on the truck slid off the vehicle and crashed into a two-story house owned by Hamdi Uludağ on the opposite side, as well as a car parked in front of the house. Continuing on its path, the truck advanced about 500 meters and then struck a motorcycle driven by İshak Yıldırım (30), who was traveling from Karabük towards Bartın. The truck then crashed into the poles of a highway warning sign and overturned.
BOTH DRIVERS LOST THEIR LIVES
Following the terrible accident, motorcycle driver İshak Yıldırım and truck driver Fuat Tamaç died at the scene. After the accident, AFAD, fire department, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
FATHER HAVING A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN UPON HEARING THE TRAGIC NEWS
Meanwhile, upon receiving the tragic news, Ekrem Yıldırım, the father of motorcycle driver İshak Yıldırım, arrived at the scene and had nervous breakdowns. At the scene, where relatives tried to console the grief-stricken father, the bodies were taken to the Safranbolu State Hospital morgue after the work of the crime scene investigation teams. It was learned that the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
