"WE WILL CONTINUE TO STRIKE THEM"
US President Donald Trump answered questions from the press during a signing ceremony at the Oval Office. Commenting on Iran, Trump said, "We have a very large amount of ammunition. We have reached levels we haven't had for years, and we are hitting them very hard, and this will continue."
"THOSE DOING BUSINESS WITH IRAN WILL NOT PASS THE NAVAL BLOCKADE"
Trump stated that they are reimposing a naval blockade on Iran, saying, "We are reinstating the blockade. This blockade applies only to Iran. Those doing business with Iran will not be able to pass, but everyone else can."
TRUMP'S SIGNAL FOR A DEAL
Noting that he has not completely abandoned negotiations, Trump said, "I think a deal is still possible. We have seriously damaged Iran's military capacity. We neutralized the Iranian navy within a month, the air force is virtually non-existent, and we have destroyed 89 percent of its missile production capacity and 92 percent of its drone production capacity."
DEMANDED PROTECTION PAYMENT FROM ALLIES
Trump stated that the US is protecting its allies in the Gulf region, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Trump commented, "The cost of this protection should be covered by these countries. We are protecting a very wealthy region of the world. I want them to pay us for it."
