In the corruption investigation targeting the AHBAP Association, striking statements came from presenter Bircan Bali after Haluk Levent and 22 suspects were detained. Bali, stating that she had previously questioned the exorbitant difference in container prices, said, 'They were asking for three times the price, I asked about the remaining money and they didn't answer. Turns out they were gambling.'
The investigation into alleged "corruption" launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the AHBAP Association has caused widespread public outcry. Within the scope of the investigation, 22 suspects, including the association's president and singer Haluk Levent, were detained on charges of 'Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing a Crime,' 'Laundering of Assets Derived from Crime,' and 'Violation of the Tax Procedure Law and the Associations Law.'
BOMBSHELL ALLEGATION FROM BIRCAN BALI
As debates surrounding the AHBAP Association and Haluk Levent continue following the detention order, a notable assessment came from famous presenter Bircan Bali. Stating that she had wanted to examine the association's operations in the past but faced backlash, Bircan Bali recounted her experience with these words: "I said, 'Let me join Ahbap.' I said I would come the next day and explain on the show how everything works. They told me, 'Little lady, don't stick your nose into matters that don't concern you. Everything we do is transparent.'"

Drawing attention to price differences in the aid provided at that time, Bali stated that she questioned the association's budget management and made harsh accusations: "At that time, they were asking for 64,000 TL for a container. I found a 21-square-meter container for 22,000 TL. They were asking for nearly three times the price. I asked, 'You say you will spend 400 million TL on this project, but you can do it for a total of 100 million. What will you do with the remaining 300 million?' No answer came. Turns out they were gambling all along."
