Rojin Kabaiş, a first-year student in the Department of Child Development at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (YYÜ), went outside after having dinner in the dormitory on September 27. Rojin, who told her friends, "I will collect pebbles," has not been heard from since. In the search efforts that have been ongoing for 18 days, every stone has been turned, so to speak. FOUND 20 KILOMETERS AWAY FROM WHERE SHE DISAPPEAREDRojin Kabaiş's lifeless body was found yesterday, about 20 kilometers away from the beach where she went missing, on the rural coast of Mollakasım Neighborhood in the Tuşba district, particularly known for its summer houses, by Mehmet Emin Ankay (60), who came to water his garden. AUTOPSY PROCEDURES LASTED 7 HOURSUpon Ankay's notification, gendarmerie, police, fire brigade, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. Rojin's lifeless body was taken and brought to the Forensic Medicine Institution on the Van Yüzüncü Yıl University campus. After approximately 7 hours of autopsy procedures, Rojin's body was handed over to her family in the early morning and sent to her hometown Diyarbakır for her final journey. NEARLY 100 SAMPLES SENT TO ISTANBULSinan Özaraz, the President of the Van Bar Association, stated that a confidentiality decision was made by the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the file belonging to Rojin Kabaiş, and that the preliminary autopsy report was not provided to the family or themselves due to the confidentiality decision. He announced that nearly 100 samples taken from Rojin's body were sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution for examination. ROJİN'S PRELIMINARY AUTOPSY REPORT REACHED IN THE MORNINGMeanwhile, Rojin Kabaiş's preliminary autopsy report has also been obtained. According to the examination, the exact cause of Rojin's death has not yet been determined. Initial examinations did not reveal any evidence that Rojin was killed by a cutting, piercing, or firearm. STRIKING WORDS FROM ROJİN'S FATHERRojin's father stated that his daughter did not commit suicide but was a victim of murder. According to a report in the Sabah newspaper, the words of father Nizamettin Kabaiş confused many; "Rojin did not return to the dormitory for a whole night, the next day at a quarter to twelve, they called me. They say, 'Your child hasn't come back.' How would I know if my child came back or not? There was no barbed wire on the side, no camera, no light. The child said, 'I will go collect some pebbles.' My guess is that some hooligans saw her there and harmed my child. I hope they find those responsible as soon as possible and give them the heaviest punishment. They should even execute them. “SOMEONE MUST HAVE HARMED MY CHILD”What did they want from harmless little Rojin? What harm did Rojin do to anyone? Why did they do this? That child would not go alone to a place 24 kilometers away at night. I did not see that place. The lake next to the dormitory is not deep. If they had gone there, there would have been no risk of drowning. Divers go 50 kilometers further, it was only a foot deep. Someone must have harmed my child. She would not go there alone. Even if she entered the water, she would not go that far. There is a brutality involved. Someone must have done it. I want the state to find those who committed this brutality as soon as possible. Their punishment should be execution. Let’s put an end to the pain. What do they want from children and women?"
