Drilling continues at the Gülaçan-4 Appraisal Well in the oil exploration activities around the Gülaçan and Çakallı neighborhoods in the Halfeti district of Şanlıurfa. Halfeti District Governor and Deputy Mayor Sinan Korkmaz, along with Birecik District Governor Osman Şahin, visited the well and received information about the operations. While the expectation of a production potential of up to 2 million barrels per day in the region draws attention, the oil reserve is expected to be clarified upon the completion of the drilling.
While oil exploration efforts continue in the Halfeti district of Şanlıurfa, the work carried out at the Gülaçan-4 Exploration Well has increased expectations for oil in the region.
DRILLING ACTIVITIES CONTINUE
A new one has been added to the ongoing oil exploration efforts in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Drilling activities continue at the site established within the scope of the work carried out around the Gülaçan and Çakallı neighborhoods in the Halfeti district of Şanlıurfa.
VISIT TO EXPLORATION WELL BY KORKMAZ AND ŞAHİN
Halfeti District Governor and Deputy Mayor Sinan Korkmaz and Birecik District Governor Osman Şahin visited the Gülaçan-4 Exploration Well, where the TPIC MR7000-2 rig operated under the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) is located.
Korkmaz and Şahin, who examined the ongoing work at the well on site, received information from officials about the latest status of oil exploration activities. While a construction site was established before the oil exploration work in the region, field activities around the Gülaçan and Çakallı neighborhoods are planned to continue.
EXPECTATION OF 2 MILLION BARRELS PER DAY
The efforts in Halfeti have also increased expectations that a significant amount of oil could be found in the region. While it is stated that the field activities have a production potential of up to 2 million barrels per day, this figure is expected to become clear after the completion of exploration and assessment studies. In the area near the Atatürk Dam reservoir, oil has been shipped to Adıyaman TPAO for years.
As oil exploration activities have accelerated in the Southeast recently, boosting hopes regarding the region's energy potential, the results from the efforts in Halfeti are eagerly awaited.
