President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made important statements regarding children under 18 in his remarks after the cabinet meeting.
"WE WILL REVIEW THE LEGISLATION"
In his speech, Erdoğan stated, "We are closely following the discussions in our public regarding children under 18 involved in crime. Organized crime syndicates, bloodthirsty terrorist organizations, and street gangs particularly target children in this age group."
Erdoğan also added, "As a government, we will address the issue in a way that includes reviewing the legislation before the problem becomes more chronic. We will do this, hopefully, under the guidance of our history, culture, and universal legal norms."
MINGUZZI'S MOTHER HAD ALSO REQUESTED IT
The mother of Matia Ahmet Minguzzi, who lost his life in a knife attack in Kadıköy, had also stated in many remarks that there should be legal regulations regarding children under 18.
