Explosions were heard in Doha, the capital of Qatar. In a statement made by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was noted that the Hamas negotiation team was targeted. The Israeli army, which claims that the unnamed Hamas members who were attacked have been managing the organization's activities for years, stated that it will continue to act for the "defeat of the Hamas terrorist organization."
ISRAEL STRIKES HAMAS WHILE DISCUSSING CEASEFIRE
The attack occurred a few days after Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir threatened to assassinate Hamas leaders living abroad and just hours after Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar announced that Israel accepted the U.S. proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza.
A senior source from Hamas stated that the group's leaders were targeted while discussing U.S. President Donald Trump's ceasefire proposal for Gaza in Doha.
