According to a survey conducted by ASAL Research in 26 provinces, 31.2% of participants stated that they pray regularly, 62% said they fast during Ramadan, and 78.6% reported that they give fitra, zakat, or charity.
The ASAL Research Company conducted a survey in February 2026 with 2,015 people in 26 provinces to measure citizens' worship habits. According to the research results, 31.2% of participants stated that they pray regularly, while 62% indicated that they fast regularly during the month of Ramadan. The survey also highlighted trends regarding mutual assistance. 78.6% of participants said they give fitra, zakat, or charity.
PRAYER HABITS
According to the research, prayer habits were distributed across different categories. While 31.2% of participants stated that they pray regularly, 22% expressed that they pray occasionally.
13.8% of the respondents stated that they used to pray but no longer do so, while 5.4% indicated that they are considering praying in the future. 20% of the survey participants expressed that they do not pray, while 7.6% did not answer this question or stated that they had no opinion.
FASTING RATES DURING RAMADAN
The results regarding fasting habits during the month of Ramadan were also noteworthy. 62% of the participants said they fast regularly throughout Ramadan.
7.4% of the participants expressed that they fast occasionally, while 11.6% stated that they used to fast but cannot do so now. 2.2% indicated that they are considering fasting in the future, while 15% said they do not fast. 1.8% of the survey participants did not answer this question.
