A 52-year-old theft suspect, who was sent to the courthouse in Çağlayan, Istanbul for arrest, committed suicide by jumping from the 6th floor block gap. The suspect, who fell meters to the ground while handcuffed during proceedings, died at the scene. It was learned that the suspect, who ended his life, had noted "I do not want to see my family" in his statement record.

JUMPED FROM THE 6TH FLOOR
According to the claim, the incident occurred during lunchtime at the Istanbul Palace of Justice in Çağlayan. H.T., aged 52, who was detained for theft and referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest, threw himself from a gap on the 6th floor while procedures were being carried out with handcuffs.
Upon notification, health teams on duty at the courthouse were dispatched to the scene. During the initial check, it was determined that H.T., who fell from a height of several meters to the ground, had lost his life. Following the incident, security measures at the courthouse were increased, and crime scene investigation teams began their work.

It was learned that during H.T.'s statement procedures, he noted in the record, "I do not want to meet with my family." It was also reported that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
