A three-story building collapsed in Zeyrek neighborhood in Fatih. Upon notification, a large number of fire brigade and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams are still working.

STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNORSHIP

Following the collapse in the building, a statement was made by the Istanbul Governorship. The statement said; On Thursday, September 12, 2024, at around 23:10, a three-story abandoned building collapsed in Zeyrek Neighborhood, Fatih District. In the incident, 1 citizen who was passing by was slightly injured. According to initial determinations, there is no person trapped under the empty building, but the teams continue their work at the scene," the statement said.
