In the Güzelyurt district of Aksaray, a 56-year-old female cook who went to observe cut trees in the garden of the furniture workshop where she worked was trapped under a falling poplar tree. The mother of four, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions.
56-year-old Hatice Başata in Aksaray lost her life when a poplar tree being cut at her workplace fell on her.
LEFT COVERED IN BLOOD
The incident occurred around 12:00 in Akpınar Neighborhood, Ihlara Town, Güzelyurt district. Hatice Başata, who worked as a cook in a furniture shop, went to the workers cutting trees on the company's land. At that moment, the poplar tree being cut fell on Başata. While Başata was left covered in blood, health and gendarmerie teams arrived at the scene upon notification.
COULD NOT BE SAVED
Hatice Başata, mother of four, was taken to Güzelyurt State Hospital by ambulance but could not be saved despite all interventions by doctors. Başata's body was taken to Aksaray Training and Research Hospital for autopsy. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
