Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides met at a trilateral summit held in West Jerusalem. At the summit, Netanyahu greeted Mitsotakis by saying, "How are you, my friend?" and stated, "We are not seeking conflict with anyone."
Following the trilateral summit with Mitsotakis and Christodoulides, Netanyahu responded to a question about Turkey at a joint press conference, saying, "We are not seeking conflict with anyone. I can speak on behalf of Israel, and I can also say this on behalf of my two partners here; no one wants conflict."
Netanyahu mentioned economic relations and investments with the Greek Cypriot Administration and Greece, stating that there are 186 flights per week between Israel and the Greek Cypriot Administration, which he described as incredible. Netanyahu said, "Calculate how many flights that is per day? I don't know many Israeli investors who haven't visited Greece or invested in Greece. An increasing number of them are growing there."
COOPERATION CIRCLE BETWEEN ISRAEL AND THE ARAB WORLD
Netanyahu expressed their desire to expand the cooperation circle between Israel and the Arab world, stating that they confirmed their commitment to expand the Abraham Accords during their meeting with the Greek and Greek Cypriot leaders. Netanyahu said, "We also expressed our support for a future where Lebanon's sovereignty is respected, and where legitimate state institutions hold authority and military power, not militias."
DECISION TO DEEPEN SECURITY AND DEFENSE COOPERATION
Netanyahu stated that they agreed to deepen security and defense cooperation, saying, "The threats we face are real. We are defending not only our countries but also the vital sea routes and critical infrastructure on which the global economy depends." Netanyahu added, "To those who dream they can establish empires and assert dominance over our lands, I say this: forget it. That will not happen. Don't even think about it. We are determined to defend ourselves, and we are capable of doing so. Our cooperation further strengthens this capacity. As three real democracies in the Eastern Mediterranean, we will advance security, prosperity, and freedom together."
"WE ARE NOT SEEKING CONFLICT WITH ANYONE"
In response to a question during the press conference about what their message to Turkey was, Netanyahu said, "We are not seeking conflict with anyone. I can speak on behalf of Israel, and I can also say this on behalf of my two partners here; no one wants conflict. On the contrary, as we have all expressed, we are seeking stability, prosperity, and peace. Of course, each of us is determined to defend our country. At the same time, we are also determined to defend the common sea routes and other elements within the framework of international norms. I think this is clear. Therefore, this is a coalition established for norms and stability, and we hope it will not have to be tested."
"OUR GENERAL EXPECTATIONS FROM IRAN REMAIN THE SAME"
In response to a question about what his expectations from Iran were, Netanyahu said, "We have achieved significant successes in the Rising Lion operation against Iran and in the 12-day war with Iran. Our general expectations from Iran have not changed. Expectations regarding the level of enrichment and other activities, such as the end of proxy wars waged against us, have not changed. We know that this has not changed from the perspective of the U.S. Therefore, this issue will certainly be part of our discussions."
On the other hand, Netanyahu stated that the focus of his discussions with Trump would be on Gaza and the second phase of the peace plan. Netanyahu also indicated that issues related to Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis would be prioritized.
