In the Manavgat district of Antalya, a light commercial vehicle driven by a driver who swerved to avoid hitting a car that yielded to pedestrians crashed onto the sidewalk. Those moments were captured by a security camera, and it was observed that three people narrowly escaped death during the incident.
In the accident that occurred on Antalya Street, the driver of the light commercial vehicle with license plate 07 LOU 14, Onur R., swerved the steering wheel to avoid hitting vehicles that had stopped at the pedestrian crossing to give way to pedestrians. The driver, who was allegedly speeding, lost control of the vehicle and first crashed into a traffic sign on the roadside.
The vehicle that mounted the sidewalk crashed into parked cars in front of a motorcycle dealership, causing a loud noise and scattering debris everywhere. As a result of the impact, the motorcycles in front of the business fell over. The vehicle driven by Onur R. was able to stop after crashing into the concrete flower pots on the sidewalk. The uprooting of the flower pots also caused damage to another parked vehicle.
3 PEOPLE NARROWLY ESCAPED DEATH
Meanwhile, security camera footage from the moment of the accident recorded the moments when 3 people narrowly escaped death, second by second. In the footage, the light commercial vehicle, which appeared to be speeding, swerved the steering wheel to avoid hitting vehicles that had stopped to give way to a pedestrian crossing the crosswalk, and at the last moment noticed a pedestrian on the road. It was seen that the vehicle then crashed into a traffic sign and subsequently into the motorcycles in front of the dealership, scattering debris everywhere. During this time, two young people chatting in front of the dealership noticed the out-of-control vehicle at the last moment and managed to escape, narrowly avoiding being hit, while the vehicle was able to stop after crashing into the concrete flower pots.
