24 hours have passed since the Iran War initiated by the United States and Israel. Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei, the Minister of Defense, and the Chief of General Staff have been killed. Following the temporary appointment of Ayatollah Arafi, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian vowed revenge in a speech to the nation. Pezeshkian stated, "We will drive our enemies into despair by destroying their bases and capabilities. We must unite against the enemy's plans."
After the attacks launched by the USA and Israel on February 28, Iran retaliated. The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 201 people lost their lives, while President Masoud Pezeshkian stated, "The temporary leadership council has started its duties, we will continue on our path."
Israel and the USA launched a military operation against Iran on February 28 while negotiations between Tehran and Washington were ongoing. Iran responded by carrying out attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, many high-ranking officials, along with Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, lost their lives.
IRANIAN RED CRESCENT: 201 DEAD, 747 INJURED
The Iranian Red Crescent announced that 201 people lost their lives and 747 were injured in the bombings carried out across the country. It is reported that the death toll may rise.
PEZESHKIAN: TEMPORARY COUNCIL HAS STARTED ITS DUTIES
In his address to the nation, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian delivered strong messages. Pezeshkian stated, "We will drive our enemies into despair by destroying their bases and capabilities. We must unite against the enemy's plans."
Pezeshkian also said, "Our leader Imam Khamenei was martyred in a treacherous attack. I, along with the Head of the Judiciary Ejei and Ayatollah Arafi, have started the work of the temporary leadership council. We will continue on our path."
