The U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Representative for Syria, Tom Barrack, made a notable statement ahead of the presidential election to be held tomorrow in the Iraqi Parliament. Stating that his country's position is clear, Barrack said that a government established in Baghdad under the influence of Iran could neither serve the better future expectations of the Iraqi and Syrian peoples nor establish an effective and sustainable partnership with the U.S.

The U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and Special Representative for Syria, Tom Barrack, stated in a social media post that he had a phone conversation with Masoud Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), which is in power in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region (IKBY).

CEASEFIRE IN SYRIA

Barrack emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire in Syria and ensuring that humanitarian aid continues uninterrupted. He particularly highlighted that civilians in Kobani are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance, stating that the international community bears responsibility in this regard.
