In the highland of Aydınalan village in Kars, torrential rain lasting for two days caused a disaster. While 12 sheep and goats in the herd were struck by lightning and killed during grazing, the efforts of livestock breeder Abdullah Bozkaya, who raised them with great difficulty, vanished in an instant.
Heavy rain that has been intermittently continuing for two days in Kars has adversely affected daily life, while 12 sheep and goats perished after lightning struck a herd being grazed in the Aydınalan village affiliated with the city center.
The adverse weather conditions affecting the entire city have caused hardship for citizens engaged in animal husbandry on the highland plateau of Aydınalan village, affiliated with the center. Lightning struck the sheep flock belonging to Abdullah Bozkaya while it was being grazed on the land in the highland.
TEAMS LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION
As a result of the lightning strike, 12 sheep and goats in the herd perished at the scene. Upon notification, teams from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry were dispatched to the area and initiated damage assessment work by conducting examinations on the highland where the incident occurred.
