The lifeless body of 26-year-old Rukiye Görgin was found in Gölya Nature Park in the Arifiye district of Sakarya. Surveillance footage revealed that the young woman spent 8.5 hours around the lake before the incident. Meanwhile, police found approximately 25,000 TL in cash and gold in the bag with her. While Görgin's mobile phone was not recovered, it is thought she may have come to Sakarya to meet someone.

A chilling incident occurred at Gölya Nature Park in the Arifiye district of Sakarya around 5:30 PM yesterday. Upon citizens reporting a motionless person in the pond, health, police, and fire department teams were dispatched to the area. The young woman pulled from the water was identified as Rukiye Görgin (26). It was determined that Görgin, registered in the population of Tarsus district, Mersin, had arrived in Sakarya by bus in the morning and then moved to Arifiye.

SHE SPENT 8.5 HOURS AROUND THE LAKE

It was learned that the young woman spent about 8.5 hours around the lake. The moments when Görgin walked slowly towards the pond were also captured by security cameras.

CASH AND GOLD FOUND IN HER BAG

In the police investigation at the scene, approximately 25,000 Turkish Lira in cash and gold were found in the young woman's bag. Her mobile phone could not be reached. Upon this, the teams deepened the investigation into the incident. It was learned that the police are examining the HTS records of the last 48 hours of the young woman, investigating who she contacted before the incident and her reason for coming to Sakarya.

MAY HAVE COME TO THE CITY TO MEET SOMEONE

Meanwhile, it was stated that Rukiye Görgin worked as a cashier at a market in Tarsus and was single. The possibility that the young woman may have come to Sakarya to meet someone is being considered.

Rukiye Görgin's body was sent to her hometown Mersin for burial after procedures at the Sakarya Forensic Medicine Institute. It was revealed that the young woman's mother had filed a missing person report in Tarsus on the day her lifeless body was found.
