Fishermen in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, reported to the police when they saw a body in the sea. It was determined that the body, which was taken out of the sea by divers, belonged to a woman and it was claimed that it was found wrapped in a carpet with a weight tied to her foot. After the examination of the prosecutor at the scene, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy. NO IDENTITY FOUND ON THE BODYIn the morning hours, fishermen saw a body in the sea in Mimar Sinan Coast. Upon the fishermen's report, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene. It was learned that the body, which was brought to the shore by the coast guard teams, belonged to a woman and no identification was found on her. WEIGHT TIED TO HER FOOTIt was claimed that a weight was tied to her foot to sink the body and it was wrapped in a carpet to go unnoticed. Police teams started working on the incident by watching the security cameras in the area. After the completion of the examination by the prosecutor at the scene, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy. SPOTTED BY FISHERMENCem Tansever, a resident of the neighborhood, stated, "When we arrived in the morning, there were police teams at the port. Fishermen friends saw a female body in the sea. They informed the teams. Coast guard and police teams took the body out of the sea. Crime scene investigation was carried out. The teams took the body to perform an autopsy," he said.
