Social media is discussing the violence against a woman in Iran by the morality police for not covering her head. In the video, it can be seen that a person hits another woman who is not covering her head among the women waiting in line at the metro station. In response to this, other women start attacking the woman who is claimed to be a member of the morality police for hitting the woman who reacted to the situation. According to the rules of the Mullah Regime in Iran, women are required to cover their heads in the specified way. Women who do not cover themselves properly are first warned by the morality police. If the warning is not taken into consideration, punishment is applied.
WHAT IS THE MORALITY POLICE? The Morality Police, called the Ershad Patrol in Iran, is an auxiliary team established in 2005 within the Law Enforcement Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the aim of arresting women (and also some men) who are deemed to be dressed "inappropriately" according to the dress code rules. The patrols usually operate with a minibus accompanied by women wearing chadors, observing, stopping, and detaining those who wear poorly covered headscarves in public places where people gather, such as shopping malls, squares, and metro stations.
