A woman who recently lost her husband in India committed suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of a shopping mall.

In a tragic incident in Indore, India, a young woman who lost her husband in a traffic accident just 15 days after their wedding attempted suicide by jumping from the third floor of a shopping mall on Friday.

Inspector R Kumrawat, who made a statement regarding the incident, said, "The young woman's husband died in a traffic accident on Wednesday. In her suicide note, she expressed her wish to be cremated with her husband according to Hindu traditions. She is currently receiving treatment in the hospital."

Footage of the dramatic moments at the shopping mall quickly spread on social media. Security personnel and mall employees who witnessed the woman jump immediately took action, providing first aid and swiftly transporting the young woman to the hospital.

In recent years, the increasing number of suicide cases in India, especially among the youth, has become a serious issue. Local authorities emphasize the need to enhance psychological support services to prevent such incidents. The police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident, while it was reported that the young woman's health condition remains serious.
