ARGUMENT IN THE PARK
The incident occurred on May 10 at around 8:00 PM in Şehit Sadık Bezer Park in Muratçeşme Mahallesi. According to allegations, an argument broke out between two groups for an unknown reason.
The argument quickly escalated into a knife fight. Abdülbaki Demirel and Savaş I. were wounded in the fight.
INJURED SOUGHT HELP
It was learned that one of the injured individuals went to a nearby building to ask for help, while the other sought refuge in a market near the park.
Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Abdülbaki Demirel, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition, could not be saved despite all medical interventions.
SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Police teams examined the surrounding security cameras and quickly identified the fleeing suspects. Two suspects, reported to be under the age of 18, were taken into custody.

Cevdet Demirel, the father of the deceased Abdülbaki Demirel, said, "The person who died was my son. He was 16 years old, taken by a stray bullet. Are they going to roam this country unattended? The kid asked for a cigarette as my son passed by the park. My son said 'No cigarettes,' and they pulled out knives and stabbed the kids. They stabbed him 17 times; no one would do this. We watched the cameras; they stabbed him from behind and from the front. My child managed to reach the market, where they intervened. An ambulance came, but we couldn't save him. We ask the state to do something about this. The kid gets expelled from school, then goes out and terrorizes and kills innocent people. What is our crime? I raised and cared for him for 16 years; my child was taken by a stray bullet. If a Frenchman, an Englishman, or Israel had fired this bullet, I'd say 'He is my enemy,' but what is the reason for this domestic hostility?" he said.
