Abdülkadir Özkan, the owner of DBL Entertainment, which became the center of reactions after being labeled "traitors to the homeland" by those boycotting Espressolab, had withdrawn from all projects, including the Istanbul events of Robbie Williams and Muse, following the boycott calls. Breaking his silence, Özkan said, "I regret it; when young people reached out and the concerts of world-renowned artists were canceled, I lost millions of dollars."

After the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel called for a boycott of certain companies. Among the companies that Özel wanted to be boycotted was the famous coffee chain Espressolab.

"TRAITOR TO THE HOMELAND" STATEMENT CAUSED A STIR

The owner of DBL Entertainment, which organized the concerts of world-famous artists Robbie Williams, Muse, and Trevor Noah in Istanbul, Abdülkadir Özkan, caused a stir by calling those who boycotted Espressolab "traitors to the homeland."

PULLED OUT OF ALL PROJECTS

Following the announcement that Robbie Williams, Muse, and Trevor Noah would perform in Istanbul in DBL Entertainment's 2025 event calendar, a call for a "boycott" was made against the company. After the public's reaction, Abdülkadir Özkan, the owner of DBL Entertainment, had to take a step back. Özkan stated in a statement on his social media account that they had withdrawn from all projects.

"I AM BEING UNJUSTLY TREATED, I HAVE BEEN BEING LYNCHED FOR 3 DAYS"

After the calls for a boycott, Abdülkadir Özkan spoke to journalist İsmail Küçükkaya. According to Küçükkaya's report on Halk TV, Özkan said: "I am being treated unjustly, I have been lynched for three days, I regret it a thousand times. I am someone who has often been lynched by the pro-government media due to my opposing views. When the journalists were detained, I was someone who tweeted, 'Is it okay to detain them at midnight, they are journalists.'

"I WISH I HAD NOT MADE THAT POST"

But this lynching, I am being treated unjustly, I am a taxpayer. When these young people reached out and the concerts of world-famous artists were canceled, I lost millions of dollars. I wish I had not made that tweet, now I am dealing with injustice."
