Abdullah Avcı, the coach who won the championship with Trabzonspor in the Süper Lig, made a confession about Fenerbahçe. Avcı stated that he had a strong desire to coach Fenerbahçe in the past and to make them champions.
Abdullah Avcı, who won the championship with Trabzonspor in the Super League, participated in the Empathy program hosted by Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan on NTV. Speaking about the past period, Abdullah Avcı made a striking confession about Fenerbahçe.
"I THINK THE PROCESS IS NOT CORRECT"
In response to the question, "Do you have anything to say about the betting investigation?", Abdullah Avcı stated, "I think the process is not correct at this moment! Think about it, if everything exists, let it come to light, there is no problem with that. Now I am just a coach in the team, the rules can change every year, at the beginning of each year, we are sent a coach for information and updates, a briefing meeting is held about the new rules; I explained this as an example. The sponsor of our leagues is a betting company, is that correct when you look at it? I express it this way, you cannot reset it, but at the beginning of the season, a briefing meeting should be held regarding the rules related to betting, not just for the players, but for the technical staff, players, support staff, health team, performance, whatever it is, all these professionals need to be informed about what is what, it needs to be explained, we cannot reset this rate, but we can reduce it."
"I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO MAKE FENERBAHÇE CHAMPION"
In response to the question, "Is there a team in Turkey that you secretly want to coach?", the experienced coach said, "I have had my thing with all of them, I was wanted. At one point, I really wanted this, after Trabzonspor, I wanted to work at Fenerbahçe very much. After experiencing the championship with two big and difficult communities that had not been champions for a long time, I really wanted to experience that at Fenerbahçe after living it in Trabzon. Right now, I don't feel such a thing, but I can still say it because that period is still fresh."
