AK Party Istanbul Deputy Salim Ensarioglu, who met with the father of university student Rojin Kabais, who died under suspicious circumstances, claimed that there is an organized exploitation network targeting poor students at some universities in Kars, Elazig, Tunceli, and Van. Ensarioglu, alleging that certain public officials and university staff act together to threaten students by saying "You are members of an organization," stated, "I can prove this."

While she was a student at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Department of Child Development, Rojin Kabaiş, who died under suspicious circumstances, her father Nizamettin Kabaiş met with AK Party Istanbul Deputy Salim Ensarioğlu at his working office in Diyarbakır. Following the meeting, former State Minister and AK Party Deputy Ensarioğlu, who appeared before the cameras, made allegations about regional universities that will be widely discussed.

"THIS IS NOT THE WORK OF ONE OR TWO PEOPLE, BUT AN ORGANIZED STRUCTURE"

Salim Ensarioğlu, speaking to Amida Haber, stated that this issue frequently came up in his regional studies and argued that these events were not isolated incidents. Ensarioğlu said: "This is not the case of a single police officer, a single soldier, or two students. This is an organized event. The masses they ensnare are children of poor families with low scores... This situation is occurring particularly in 5-6 universities: Kars Kafkas, Elazığ Fırat, Munzur, and Van Yüzüncü Yıl Universities."

"THEY THREATEN STUDENTS"

Ensarioğlu also put forward striking claims regarding the working method of the abuse network, emphasizing that immoral people can exist in every institution. He stated, "They threaten children with poor economic backgrounds by saying 'You're members of an organization, you're this and that.' With the support of some immoral elements in the public sector and a few individuals at the university, they ensnare students and abuse them."

"I CAN PROVE MY CLAIM, A DEPARTMENT HEAD WAS BEATEN IN A CAFE"

The AK Party deputy, stating he stands behind his claims and can prove them, cited a past incident as an example: "If someone says to me 'Can you prove this?' Yes, I can. Four years ago in Tunceli, a Department Head from Munzur University was beaten by young people in a cafe. Why was he beaten? He was beaten because 'You are giving the phone numbers of girls here to soldiers and police.'"

REACTION TO FORMER GOVERNOR: HE DID NOT WANT TO MEET, BECAUSE HIS HANDS WERE DIRTY

Ensarioğlu stated that he was the Deputy General Chairman of the İYİ Party at that time and went to Tunceli to investigate the matter, claiming that his request for a meeting with the then-Governor of Tunceli, Tuncay Sonel, was rejected.

Ensarioğlu recounted the dialogue with the governor and his reaction with these words: "So much had been told that I didn't inform the state's governor in advance about my visit because I trusted him. Ten kilometers before the city, I called and said I wanted to meet as a former minister and deputy general chairman. He replied 'I am in an operation.' Are you a soldier or a police officer? What does the operation have to do with it? He didn't want to meet. Because he knows, his hands were dirty, he knew I was coming for something, and he didn't meet. This is rudeness, disrespect. If he had met that day, many things might have come to light much earlier."

EYES ON THE JUDICIAL AUTHORITIES

Ensarioğlu, who stated that he would follow up on the Rojin Kabaiş case, has made these serious allegations against universities and public officials, and it remains a matter of curiosity what steps the judicial and administrative authorities will take.
