Access restriction has been imposed on the Instagram account of artist Haluk Levent, who was arrested in the investigation into the Ahbap Association, which has approximately 3.7 million followers. It was stated that the account has not yet been made invisible from Turkey.
Access was blocked to the official Instagram account of artist Haluk Levent, who has approximately 3.7 million followers, within the scope of the investigation conducted against the Ahbap Association. The access block decision, taken by court order, was notified to the social media platform by official authorities.
DECISION NOT YET IMPLEMENTED IN TURKEY
Despite the decision, the account was still accessible from Turkey. The technical procedures on the platform's side are expected to be completed for the access block to be implemented and the account to be fully closed to users in Turkey.
OPERATION AGAINST AHBAP ASSOCIATION
Within the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Branch Directorate had conducted efforts to prevent the crimes of "forming an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "qualified fraud," and "laundering of property values derived from crime," as well as to apprehend the suspects.
In this context, as a result of MASAK reports prepared against Ahbap Association employees, examination of account transactions, and technical and physical surveillance efforts, it was determined that the suspects had high-amount money movements inconsistent with their financial profiles, carried out high-amount money transfers among themselves, transferred large sums to gambling accounts and lost significant amounts through betting, and also carried out numerous chain property title deed transfer transactions among themselves within a short period.
HALUK LEVENT HAD BEEN ARRESTED
Within the scope of the investigation, 28 of the 54 suspects detained, including Ahbap Association founder singer Haluk Levent and Oğuzhan Uğur, had been arrested. Assets of the association and some suspects had been seized. In the fourth wave operation of the investigation, 13 more suspects had been detained.
