DEVASTATING HEAD-ON COLLISION ON TRANS-SUMATRA TOLL ROAD
The incident occurred on the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road in the North Musi Rawas region, located in the southern part of Sumatra Island. According to information obtained, a passenger bus traveling from Lubuklinggau to Jambi collided violently with an oncoming fuel tanker.
VICTIMS PERISHED AMIDST FLAMES
Immediately after the collision, a leak from the fuel tanker triggered a massive fire. Local disaster response officials reported that passengers trapped inside the bus perished in the flames. In this horrific accident, 16 people died at the scene, while 4 others were seriously injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Images released by the Indonesian National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) revealed the extent of the disaster, showing thick black smoke rising from the crash site and vehicles reduced to twisted metal.
