Accident on return from celebration: Passenger buses collided, 13 people injured

After the events for the 955th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert in the Ahlat district of Bitlis, a bus carrying citizens returning to Osmaniye was involved in an accident in the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa. While 13 people on the bus that rear-ended the passenger bus in front were injured, the injured were taken to the hospital.

A bus carrying citizens returning to Osmaniye from the 955th anniversary celebrations of the Malazgirt Victory in Bitlis's Ahlat district rear-ended another passenger bus traveling in the same direction in Şanlıurfa's Siverek district. 13 people were injured in the accident.

BUS HIT THE PASSENGER BUS IN FRONT

The accident occurred at the exit of the Siverek district at night. According to the information obtained, the bus carrying citizens on their way back to Osmaniye after the celebration program in Ahlat rear-ended the passenger bus traveling in the same direction.

Following the accident, numerous fire and medical teams were dispatched to the region.

13 INJURED TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

Health teams arriving at the scene provided first aid to those injured in the accident: Münir T., Ayşe Ö., Mehmet G., Osman Ö., Ümmühan Ayşe D., Nebi K., Zeynep D., Ömer K., Mehmet Ç., Abdullah Zübeyir K., Fatma G., Şule C., and Eren C.

The injured were then taken to Siverek State Hospital by ambulance and placed under treatment.

OTHER PASSENGERS TAKEN WITH ANOTHER BUS

Other passengers who escaped the accident without injury were taken to the city center with another bus called to the scene.

It was reported that the investigation launched into the accident is ongoing.
